Again God's light has remembered His children.Rect Academy has been awarded the 1st position in the top 40 nationwide Basic Schools Excellence.
Sixty-five basic schools in the country were last saturday given awards for their performance in the 2006 Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) at the first national basic schools excellence awards in Accra.
They were among 26000 public and private basic schools in the country that took part in the examination. In the Top 20 public school awards, St. Andrews '1' JSS at Madina, near Accra, came first, while Rect Academy at Kwashibu in Accra took the first position in the top 40 schools nationwide.
The ceremony, which was on the theme, "Quality Basic Education The Right Foundation for National Development" was organised by the Ayekoo Excellence Foundation in collaboration with the Ghana Education Service.

Rect Academy Education Centre is committed to students achievement at all grade levels, beginning in Pre-School through Junior High School graduation.
Literacy is goal one: all Students will meet or exceed grade level standard in reading, writing and Communication skills. Literacy is part of every subject area.
